Worldwide, people with obesity face weight stigma every day—based on a misunderstanding of why you can’t just “eat less and move more” to overcome chronic weight issues. That stigma ultimately influences policies that can prevent access to care. In a guest blog for the World Economic Forum, Lilly’s Ilya Yuffa, Executive VP and President of Lilly International, says we must prioritize health policies that both prevent and treat obesity—but also tackle stigma and reduce the emotional barriers for people to seek help. #WEF24 #WeAreLilly

1wGreat article! There is definitely a stigma with obesity that people just don’t care but the truth is a lot of people are confused about what is and what’s not healthy and we have government issues dietary guidelines and marketing to blame for that. Along with the fact that healthy foods are cheaper than junk food. Prevention through education and access to healthy foods will help for those that are motivated to live a healthy lifestyle along with medical treatment for those that have already reached obesity! Obesity is not just about outward appearance, it increases your risk for many life threatening diseases. I love this article that brings attention to ways we can treat this epidemic..
