Josh: Bad. It's bad communication. Shane: No, it is, and it's disrespectful, isn't it? Wayne: Uh, yeah. It's gonna be a, a big concert at Adlai Stevenson Park. Radio host: Uh-huh. Seb: Have you seen Wayne's World? Shane: Oh, this is an old movie. Josh: This is your era. Garth: It's just gonna be a big party. You know, we got some great bands coming. Radio host: Uh-huh. Garth: Like Aero Smith. Radio host: Uh-huh. Shane: He's not listening at all, Josh. Radio host: Uh-huh. Josh: He's just saying, "Uh-huh". Paula That's me and you. Garth: I just wanna remind everybody there's still plenty of tickets left. Radio host: Uh-huh. Garth: But that's no reason to wait 'til the last minute. Radio host: Uh-huh. Seb: Well, they can tell he's not listening by the what they're saying to him. Basically just clowning him on radio, and he's just, "Yeah, yeah, yeah", acknowledging everything without even really processing what they're saying. He's not active listening properly. Wayne: You're not really listening to me, are you? Radio host: Uh-huh. Elsa: The eye contact. Yeah, his body language, wasn't all there. Paula: And that happens with a lot of the times when we're trying to communicate, and it just makes it hard because you think that they understand what you're telling them, and you go off and then you come back, and still the same position. "What did you ask me?" Seb: Usually when I'm playing Xbox, and you forget. One ear and out the other. Vi: It's understandable that he's got other things to do, but that should take sort of a back step. Sam: His first priority should be talking to his guests. Vi: That's right. Sam: Not just wandering off and doing his work. Paula: So a great tip would be to active listen, because all he was doing was just doing his own thing, not listening, so, it felt like what they were trying to say, and the communication that they were trying to put across was not valid at all.
