Speaker Phoebe speaks to camera while threading beads onto a bracelet. Phoebe: I feel like people don't realise how much ADHD actually affects your everyday life. It's way more than just being hyperactive and not being able to concentrate. And I've kind of been thinking about my own life and how ADHD affects me. A trait of having ADHD is being seen as not very reliable, and because of that, for myself, I feel that I'm always micromanaging myself and sometimes other people. I feel like I always put my friends and family before myself, and sometimes that can be very stressful and a lot of pressure. I feel like I'm always told that I'm too loud or too much, and you know what? I don't think there's anything wrong with being a golden retriever because if something is exciting, of course I'm going to scream, you know, or if there's a really sad scene in a movie, of course I'm going to absolutely bawl my eyes out. Having those very strong emotions is part of, you know, being a person with ADHD.
