Checking Preview During a CMS Migration

Check the full editorial preview journey on both sides of a platform move.

Check the editor journey

Open preview from the CMS entry, using the same browser and access controls as the editor. Confirm that the intended destination opens and that draft state is visible. Repeat the check for each page type included in the migration.

Validate linked draft content

A draft page can contain references to other entries. Check an unpublished linked entry as well as an edit to an already published one, and repeat the check in each supported locale. Record which values the preview returns before and after publishing. A correct page title does not establish that its linked content has been resolved from the same draft source.

Record what you checked

Keep the entry identifiers, locale, expected values, and result with the migration review. A successful check for one simple entry does not establish that every content relationship works.
